From Stopping Out to Stepping Forward: California Reconnect Initiative
Third-party program evaluation shares the latest results from year two of a statewide re-enrollment initiative
California Reconnect is a three-year initiative designed to re-engage California learners who have earned some college credit but no credential (SCNC). By combining personalized InsideTrack Success Coaching with institutional capacity building, California Reconnect helps SCNC learners re-enroll and get back on track toward program completion and upward economic mobility.
Recently, Education Northwest, an independent 3rd-party evaluator, released the second-year evaluation of the initiative, examining how personalized coaching and data-informed outreach have impacted student re-enrollment across 20 partner institutions. The findings confirm that when learners connect with a coach, they don’t just return — they stay.
