Empowering Student Momentum at HBCUs
Outcomes from a multi-year coaching initiative across 39 HBCUs
Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have long combined academic rigor, cultural belonging and a deep commitment to student success. As their students navigate academic, financial and personal responsibilities, resource-constrained institutions continue to look for scalable ways to strengthen support, maintain connection and help more learners move toward completion.
Our newest report highlights data from a Fall 2021–Spring 2026 InsideTrack initiative partnering with 39 HBCUs to provide student-centered Re-enrollment and Retention Coaching across the learner journey. This full report examines measurable outcomes from 43,819 enrolled, stopped-out and prospective learners, showing how coaching empowered student momentum across persistence, re-enrollment and completion milestones while surfacing insights into the support students needed most.
