Golden Gate University pairs working adults with InsideTrack coaches to help them successfully enroll and start strong
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (JANUARY 12, 2021) — Golden Gate University (GGU), a private non-profit university serving adult students with campuses in San Francisco, Seattle and Silicon Valley, today announced results from a new initiative that equips adults interested in graduate certificate and degree programs with dedicated enrollment coaches. Through GGU’s partnership with national student success nonprofit InsideTrack, prospective students work with professional enrollment coaches to help them select the right program, navigate the enrollment process and prepare for a strong start.
At a time when research shows steep enrollment declines across higher education, GGU’s enrollment coaching program increased domestic enrollment for degree and certificate programs from GGU’s Ageno School of Business and accounting graduate programs by 28%, exceeding their fall enrollment goal by 23%.
“Busy adults looking to advance their careers through education often need support making informed enrollment decisions and balancing school with work, family and other obligations,” said Josh Burgher, chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Golden Gate University. “Our collaboration with InsideTrack has helped us create an enrollment experience that is more seamless for the student and provides them with personalized support to start their higher education journey on the right foot.”
InsideTrack coaches work with GGU students through one-on-one meetings and ongoing digital communication via voice, email and text messaging to help define their long-term goals, evaluate program options and develop the habits that will ensure their success. In addition to working directly with students, InsideTrack coaches also share the insights on GGU student behaviors and preferences with the university to help refine the overall student experience.
“Navigating the complex realities of college can be challenging for working adult students even in the best of times, let alone in the midst of such a challenging year,” said Angela Jaramillo, strategic partnerships director at InsideTrack. “GGU’s strong enrollment gains this fall demonstrate the value that comes from creating a more supportive enrollment experience and assisting students in fitting academics into already busy lives.”
