Webster University Launches New Service to Link More Adult Learners to Continuing Education and Career Opportunities

St. Louis-area university partners with student coaching experts InsideTrack to help working adults enroll and succeed in higher education


Webster University and student success experts InsideTrack today announced a partnership to expand access to educational opportunities and help working adults find programs that will accelerate their career development. The initiative will provide coaching to as many as 4,000 working adults applying to Webster’s online programs or to programs at 12 of Webster’s U.S. campuses to assist these students in selecting the right program, navigating the enrollment process and preparing for a strong start.

Webster and InsideTrack will also execute a separate initiative to re-enroll former students who may have paused their studies due to personal, financial, or career challenges. Using a research-based, proven methodology, InsideTrack coaches will outreach to an additional 2,000 former Webster students and provide personalized support for students who choose to re-enroll, helping them to map out their degree pathway and prepare to overcome the obstacles that derailed their initial attempts.

Over the course of the next two years, prospective Webster students will receive personalized coaching to map out an educational plan that aligns with their career interests and goals. The coaching will be available to all online students, as well as to students at the Fort Belvoir, Fort Sam Houston, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Andrews NAF, Lackland Air Force Base, Melbourne, Merritt Island, Orlando, Ocala, Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio, and Southern Maryland Higher Education Center locations.

Through structured meetings and ongoing digital communication via voice, email and text messaging, professional coaches will help students explore their educational options and prepare to effectively balance work, family and academic obligations. Coaches will also support students in developing the crucial non-cognitive skills needed to overcome obstacles and 2 persist, including time management, critical thinking, and communication, as well as develop a mindset of personal accountability for their own success.
