Insights on retention of adult students entering open-enrollment 2 and 4-year institutions with prior credit

Executive Summary

While students with prior credit are currently excluded from national measures of success in higher education, their success is essential to that of institutions and society as a whole. Drawing from a survey of AACRAO member institutions, qualitative interviews with senior leaders at open-enrollment colleges and universities, and data from InsideTrack’s work with numerous subject institutions, this report will explore how institutions are measuring and working to improve outcomes for students with prior credit.
