Addressing growing demand for high quality graduate education, Georgetown University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences is rapidly expanding its professional-degree portfolio. To maintain the highest quality prospective-student experience and to prepare students for academic success, the Graduate School announced that it is collaborating with InsideTrack, a leading student-success organization.
Over the next two years, InsideTrack will work with prospective students who inquire about and apply to select Georgetown graduate programs. InsideTrack Coaches will help students to define their long-term goals, complete the enrollment process, and develop a plan for making the most of their academic experience. The coaching program will launch in September and will serve more than 2000 prospective students each year.
“Thanks to our outstanding faculty and strong curriculum, we’ve been fortunate to see enrollments increase substantially over the past several years,” said Sheila McMullan, Vice Dean of the Graduate School. “We’re working with InsideTrack to ensure that we maintain the highest quality experience for prospective students as we continue to grow and that every student arrives prepared to make the most of their time at Georgetown.”
The coaching is tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Discussion topics include selecting the right program, developing a compelling application, connecting to university resources and developing the habits that lead to success in graduate school and beyond.
“InsideTrack serves graduate students at hundreds of leading programs across the country,” said Chris Tilghman, vice president of program development at InsideTrack. “We’re excited to be working with Georgetown, who shares our belief in the transformative power of learning.”
Since 2001, InsideTrack has worked with nearly every type of student and institution, from high schools through doctoral programs. In cooperation with their partner institutions, InsideTrack designs and operates student support programs that increase enrollment, graduation rates, non-cognitive development, career readiness, institutional effectiveness, and overall satisfaction with the student experience.
